Almost a year after their debut, the aptly-named In Love With Dusk, Keep Shelly In Athens will be returning with 12” EP Our Own Dream. The Grecian downbeat-pop duo meanders through almost-forgotten electronic salad days and R&B beats of yesteryear. Melding an Ibizan ethic with new age, atmospheric synthesizing, KSiA continues to push the convention of electronic music to the brink, a challenge to the Balearic norm. Like their previous releases, the duo continues the erotic down-tempo tones and visceral back-beats, however at times Our Own Dream heats up—containing well-formed torrid, trance beats to compliment the soft female vocals. Forest Family is proud to announce this 12” EP will be released on white & silver vinyl in a very limited fashion of 500 (250 each color) on November 5th (on/at FUN FUN FUN FEST).

Yes it’s true, we are putting out the new EP from our very own Greek favorites: Keep Shelly in Athens this fall. Stay tuned, & tune in to the new title track “Our Own Dream”.

Eternal Summers has always had a way with cleverly crafting quick-hitting pop gems.  Be it from their debut 10” or their most recent LP, Silver, their up-tempo rhythmics are nothing short of infectious.  Our friends at Kanine Records have teamed up with us here at Forest Family to present a short collection of new tracks from our Roanoke sweethearts.  The title track from the EP, “Prisoner”, is very likely Eternal Summers at their most lively. [/EDIT] The Prisoner EP will hit shelves (tentatively) mid to late April in digital formats along with a 12” white vinyl run limited to 500.  Pre-order available.

After a frenzy of behind the scenes work, we’re finally at the point that we can announce our splendid SXSW show which will be happening March 17th in sunny Austin, TX. Together with Transparent Records/Blog of the UK, Houston’s Free Press Summer Fest and our own Forest Family Records (Gorilla vs Bear/Weekly Tape Deck) we’ve gathered a bevy of bands we love and want to share with you in this live setting.  The show will be at Double Down Lounge (formerly the Peacock) on the east side of downtown Austin and will without a doubt blow your mind.
